DIGI-KUHLT photographers recently spent a weekend at the historic 640-acre road courses known to all Midwest motorsports enthusiasts. The track is none other than Road America (RA). These sprawling grounds are located in the heart of Wisconsin, which hosts nearly 500 events yearly, ranging from NASCAR races to HPDEs. In our case, we went to see vintage and modern Porsches test and tune their cars over the weekend.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. “There’s a bunch of guys with factory 911s, and Caymans are just putting around the track, trying to figure out if they’re ready for some wheel-to-wheel action.” Well, sure, there was a group or two out there looking like a few Sunday drivers. But that’s not who invited US out to the track. We spent the day watching 991 and 997 Cup cars put in 30min sessions, tech their vehicles in between, all while sporting full-on race suits. RA is a great place to hike, but this was no walk in the park for the advanced group. They were MOVING!
Led by @mattciara (practically a RA native) and joined by @only1schu, these guys grabbed their gear and hit every turn possible as some of Germany’s finest carved through the 4+ mile track. Check out their gallery below.
